I have made it three times now, and every time it was not as high as yours.Our studio smelled amazing for days (because we made it multiple days in a row).What could I possible add to the conversation?.

The problem wiht measuring in cups is that it's very inacccurate.What temperature of water? Anyone who makes bread knows you have to have warm water to make your yeast work sooo I will add warm water when I make my bread.Please check instructions on whatever you use to ensure it can be heated to 450 degrees (empty for instruction #2). .

I love your recipes and how much detail you write in them!I am always on the look out for the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe.I love the size of these cookies, the added salt on the top, and just the appearance of them but I would rather have less chocolate.Do you think that the look would differ if say half of the chocolate was used?Or would that just be the same as your tried and true chocolate cookies?Thank you so much!.

If you are looking to bake in a cast iron pan or dutch oven, you will love our dutch oven bread or use it as a guide to baking.Maybe not from when you bought it, but either how long it sat on the shelf or how old before being packaged.Took off one star because it’s a very salty bread, but that being said everything else worked out perfectly and I’ll make it again (using 1 tsp salt instead of the 1 1/2 tsp the recipe calls for).

My grandma made this bread since she was a child before 1920, and for our family from the early ’50 s to’82 when she died.Just mixed this up and mine was very wet! I added another shake of flour so it wasn’t as wet, but I have a feeling I shouldn’t have… looking forward to it in 18 hours anyway!!.

I am a novice bread baker and have constantly had dense hard bread.I also added 1/4 c.You can let it rise seam-side up and lower it into the pot that way.

I tried this recipe with ATK gluten free flour blend and added 1-1/8tsp xanthan gum.Otherwise followed the recipe.Oh my goodness this is an amazing recipe!I’m on my second go round !!The taste is so good.

I’ll be adding this to my go to recipes.Almost everything in the US (I didn’t grow up here) is way way too sweet for me, but in this case, I wouldn’t have minded if the bread came out a little sweeter.I split the recipe into 2 smaller loaf pans.

It would have to be an experiment.Bake loaf until golden brown and cooked through, about 35 minutes.You can decrease it if you wish but we have made this now several times and many people have commented about how in-check the sugar level tastes, not over the top at all.BreadTo FinishHeat oven to 350 degrees F.

It still tastes well-balanced.Don’t skip the cinnamon sugar topping.I have a question about the rising time.It only says let it stay under a towel for 15 minutes.I've never baked and only let something stay for 15 minutes.Should it be warm?Should it double in size?
